In maths I have been doing pages from my go maths. This is like a textbook our school uses. I have completed around 100 pages. I am hoping to finish my go maths by the end of the year. I will have to do three pages a day to finish.

for our music class at scholl we have to write a protest song and this is what I wrote:
global warming
its a warning
can't you see
what your doing to the trees
chorus:
Help the enviroment
and you will not resent
plant more tree's
oh please
stop those gasses
polluting in their masses
turn off lights lots
and save some killowatts
chorus:
Help the environment
and you will not resent
plant more tree's
oh please
stop wasting plastic
that would be fantastic
there's lots of ways
to recycle these days
chorus:
help the enviroment
and you will not resent
plant more trees
oh please
oh please
help the tree's
all of the song is sort of like a rap

My school lunch

When I have lunch at school I usually have a sandwich, an apple (or another piece of fruit) a muesli bar and a yoghurt. Sometimes I have an Up and Go which is a bit like flavoured milk. Because we live in such a hot climate we have insulated lunch boxes that keep our food nice and cool.

I am creating a new blog that is a bit like my folio but it is going to be in comic strips. I am doing them in toondoo. Here is a link to my blog school in a comic.

For Want of a Raindrop

for want of a raindrop a cloud was lost
for want of a cloud a storm was lost

for want of food a farmer was lost
all for the want of a raindrop

I am doing cartoons from toondoo this is one.

Get a Voki now!

If ever I want to teach a grade in school I would teach grade six because grade six is all about why. also in grade six children are starting to realise that there are more important things to worry about than missing t.v or being banned from the playstation they start to realise that everything has a reason. also they are beter at things and can be trusted more but have not got the "cool" attitude.

I am into looking at maps of the world. So I have found a widget that shows the earth.

positve thinking

I am interisted about the powers of the brain caused by positive thinking. I beleive that by thinking positivly we unlock power that otherwise we would not have. I do not mean like flying or having super powers. I mean like going through life and not worrying about anything. Like getting good grades at school or university. I am reading a book by Norman Vincent Peale called The Power Of Positive Thinking. Some times affiramrations can help you to feel beter. follow this link for more information

my sisters has her birthday on christmas so it is an even better day to us. my sister gets twice as much presants as us. and there are less than one hundred days so I am puting a countdown to show how many days till christmas.

I would like to know how to make HTML. Then I can make lots of things like these clocks;

our class has been reading a book called dragon keeper. It is about a girl named ping and a dragon named danzi. It has a lot of detail so that it ends up taking a long time to read. But I think it is well worth the effort. me and my friend are doing a website as our book reveiw so follow this link to go to our web page.

Juggling With Mandarins

This story is about a boy whose name is Philip McLeod. Sometimes he is nicknamed Pip, Pipsqueak or Phil. Phil's dad wants him to be just like him but Phil discovers he has a gift nobody he knows has. When his girlfriend goes out with another boy he has a challenge, a big challenge. He wants to learn how to juggle in a week. Suddenly, while the zone selector was watching his soccer game he scored two goals. Will he be in a zone team or will he fail?

Fat Chance by Margret Clark

I choose this book because my mum recomended it to me. This book is about a girl named rebecca and her dream is to get a model contract and become a famous modol. But the only promblem is that her mum pumps hotdogs, cakes, sweets, fizzy drinks and junk-food into her like there is no tomorrow. Suddenly her parents buy a hotdog van and a bit of cliff landed on her so it seems there is no chance.

antartica narritive

for our antartica unit we are going to write a narritive about antartica. mine is going to be about a phtoplankton called wag. his sister will also be a phtoplankton called eevee.

Walking in the fields of the blessed

I think the author of this book used a good motto: lets keep going on.
I would love to go on a archaeologist dig. If my dad was dead i would never get over it. I think Angie is a good mum to study and get a job when her husband is dying. I can't wait till they go to egypt.

painful poison by nick arnold

I choose this book because I've read a lot of the other horrible science and horrible history series. I think the author is very clever explaining about chemical reactions and what poison does to them. At the beginning of the book it is hilarious how the author and the illustrator talk about themselves. I liked how the introduction goes. I wonder where the author got Mr. stinks from.

my script on osiris

I am Osiris, the god of the afterlife and king of the underworld. Egyptians come and live with me when they die and after the heart has been weighed with a feather. I used to be god and king of the earth but my evil brother, Seth Attempted to murder me several times but didn’t succeed. The first time Seth tried to kill me he lured me into a box and then threw me into the sea where I floated to a random country and was there for many years until Isis(my sister and wife) came and found me and took me back to Egypt. But when Seth found me again he cut me up into lot’s of tiny pieces but Isis collected all my pieces and put me back together. Then Isis and I travelled down to the underworld where I became king. Then Isis and I had a child called Horus who went back to the earth and battled Seth and regained the throne. My father, Geb (the god of moisture) and I used to go to the best place in the skies of Egypt where mum; (the god of the sky) would be a canopy over us. How I loved the days when Isis, Seth, Nepthys and I would play on warm clouds. I have a book I like so much that I have two copies in the finest papyrus in all of Egypt. It is called “the book of the dead”. My favourite part is the spell “driving off a cockroach” it goes like this; keep away from me, lips of crookedness, I am Khonsu, lord of circut, who bring’s the words of the god’s to RE; I report the message to it lord.

Gods and Goddesses from Ancient Egypt

Ancient Egyptians had 42 areas along the Nile and each of those 42 areas had hundreds of gods that today can be called “spirits” and “fairies”. Some of the gods grew popular and became deities who were the main gods for all of Egypt.

Ancient Egyptians had a creation myth just like we have a creation story from the bible. There are lots of creation myths in Ancient Egypt but here is one:

At first there was only Nun. Nun was the dark waters of chaos. One day, a hill rose up out the waters this hill was called Ben-Ben. On this hill stood Atum, the first god. Atum coughed and spat out Shu, the god of air, and Tefnut, the goddess of moisture. Shu and Tefnut had two children. First, there was Geb, the god of the earth. Then there was Nut, the goddess of the sky. Shu lifted Nut up so that she became a canopy over Geb. Nut and Geb had four children named Osiris, Isis, Seth and Nepthys. Osiris was the king of the earth and Isis was Queen. Osiris was a good king, and he ruled over the earth for many years. However everything was not well. Seth was jealous of Osiris because he wanted to be king of the earth. He grew angrier and angrier until one day he killed Osiris. Osiris went down to the underworld and Seth remained on earth and became king. Osiris and Isis had a son called Horus. Horus battled against Seth and regained the throne. After that, Horus was the king of the earth and Osiris was the king of the underworld.

Gods and goddesses from ancient Egypt usually had a human body and an animal head or an animal body and a human head. Some gods like Osiris had a flail they held. Nearly all of the gods and goddesses held a stick like thing called a staff. There were two kinds of gods; one was a god, a man and one was a goddess, a woman. Some of the animals whose heads or bodies were used were; birds, crocodiles, snakes, frogs, turtles, cows and cats. Gods and goddesses wore headgear which sometimes looked like hats and sometimes was symbols above their heads.

Some of the gods and goddesses looked after different towns and locations while other’s were gods for; creation, flood, afterlife, war, sun, food, beer, moon, plant’s, digestion and mummification. Each god or goddess had a special job. The god Re/Ra had the most important job, he was the god of all gods. The second most important god was Osiris for he submits people to the afterlife.

The ancient Egyptians believed that to get to the afterlife you had to journey through the under world. After the journey, the heart is weighed against a feather. If the heart is heavier than the feather, he would not be able to enter the afterlife but if the heart is the same as the feather he or she will live forever with Osiris in the afterlife. The ancient Egyptians built statues and temples for the gods. The ancient Egyptians had “the book of the dead”, which is just like our bible. The ancient Egyptians found it important to bury their dead the proper way so they embalmed the body with oils and ointment’s then wrapped them in linen stirps. They called these embalmed people “mummies”.

The ancient Egyptian religion was very complicated and the ancient Egyptians often got there gods mixed up. Even though this system is not used any more, it
